SKG Students Turned It Into a Garden of Colours at SV International School

What happens when a simple paper plate becomes a colourful flower? At SV International School, our SKG students discovered the answer through a fun and creative Paper Plate Flower Painting Activity conducted on the school campus.

The activity gave young learners an opportunity to explore colours, shapes, and creativity while creating their own colourful flower designs using paper plates. With bright colours and plenty of imagination, the students transformed simple materials into beautiful artwork.

At SV International School, activities like paper plate painting are designed to make learning enjoyable and meaningful for young children. The students were encouraged to choose colours, experiment with painting techniques, and create their own interpretations of flowers. Each child’s artwork reflected their individual creativity and imagination.

The Paper Plate Flower Painting Activity also helped students develop important early-learning skills. Handling paint and working with different shapes supports fine-motor development, hand-eye coordination, concentration, and sensory exploration. At the same time, creating artwork gives young learners the freedom to express themselves without the pressure of having to produce identical results.

At SV International School, activity-based learning forms an important part of the early years. For young learners, experiences involving art, colours, movement, and hands-on activities can make concepts easier to understand while keeping children actively involved in the learning process.

For our SKG students, the activity was not simply about painting a flower. It was about exploring what they could create with their own hands. From selecting colours to adding their own creative touches, every student had an opportunity to participate, experiment, and enjoy the process of learning through art.

At SV International School, individual attention is also an important part of the learning environment. The school maintains a student-teacher ratio of 1:30, while the pre-primary section, including Nursery, LKG, and UKG, follows a 1:25 ratio, supported by an Aayah and a co-teacher to provide additional care and assistance to young learners.

Students at SV International School learn in an environment supported by AC classrooms, activity-based learning spaces, playground facilities, sports opportunities, and modern learning experiences. Students are also introduced to age-appropriate opportunities that encourage creativity, curiosity, communication, and confidence from their early years.

The Paper Plate Flower Painting Activity was a colourful reminder that learning does not always happen with a textbook in hand. Sometimes, it happens through a paintbrush, a paper plate, and a child’s imagination.

At SV International School, we encourage children to explore, create, participate, and learn through experiences that make their school journey enjoyable and memorable.
